First excursion

Well actually the first two excursions. 1) was escorted by Anita, my hostess, who showed me this Hawaiian Jade plant, very rare she said and only blossoms every few years; she has it hanging over her koi fishpond and I was in luck!

You can see the blossoms as small darker blue spheres. Then we looked at this bell ginger plant in her neighbor's walkway.

2) Then I packed up, ready to hit the shore roads.



I walked around Lahaina to rent some snorkel gear, and came across the historic Catholic cemetary. Here's something I saw:


Then I drove north and stopped at Napili Beach. There's a webcam, and of course there are actual beach-goers who either enhance or detract from the view depending on how you look at them

These kids were sort of cute though


and the water really is that color!

Home for lunch
